The University of Iowa Campus Recreation and Wellness Center, opened in 2010, offers 20,000-square-feet of workout space over three levels to students; faculty, staff and retirees; and all community members.

- 52-1/2-foot climbing wall
- Recreational swimming pool with zero-depth entry, bubble benches, 25-person spa, vortex, current channel, water volleyball, water basketball, climbing wall, and video board
- 50-meter competitive swimming pool adjoining 18-foot-deep diving well
- One-ninth-mile jogging track
- Two basketball/volleyball courts and one multi-activity gym
- Café
- Locker rooms and upgraded club locker rooms
- Wellness Suite bringing together staff from UI Wellness, Student Wellness, and Recreational Services to provide fitness assessments, nutrition counseling, and other services
- Recreational Services Administrative Suite
The CRWC is managed by UI Recreational Services in the Division of Student Life and provides a variety of experiences that encourage active lifestyles. Activities, offered at locations on and off campus, include adventure recreation, aquatics, fitness, rowing, sports programs, tennis, and youth camps.
Membership includes access to the Field House near the UIHC Main Hospital complex; Fitness East, in Halsey Hall (Old Womens Gymnasium) at Madison and Jefferson streets; and Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex at 2820 Prairie Meadow Drive.
